Spring seems to have sprung suddenly on us.  This winter was mild and I thank Allah for that.  He has inspired me to rev up plans for this years retreat to be held June 1 - June 4 of this year. The thought of joining with my dear sisters to experience the beauty of creation under the banner of Islam is exciting!  We will inshaAllah breath in the breath of tranquility as we soak up the glow of love from one another.  Please make an effort to join us and dabble in the wealth of Islamic knowledge to be gained.  I can't wait!!! 

Last year we were truly blessed to have both Imam Zaid Shakir and Ieasha Prime join us on our spiritual quest.  Imam Zaid reminded us of the need to implement patience in everything we do.  Ieasha opened our hearts to see how we can grow through understanding.  Everyone was moved by the messages they both relayed.  This year Ieasha will, inshaAllah, lift  us to greater heights in our goal to please Allah(SWT). 

This winter has been rough!  It seemed as though snow was greeting our every waking hour.  Yet the reality is that we have no control over the weather so the best remedy for winter blues is high hopes and expectations for the warmth of the upcoming spring and summer seasons.  With the upcoming retreat in June of this year we can only pray that the days will be warm and mild.  While at the relaxing location we will be able to appreciate Allah's mercy via oxygen providing trees and the solace of country living.  The peace and quiet that awaits each attendee has an impact that at times is hard to express in words.  But if you just sit and listen you will know Allah and his ever comforting presence will relax and inspire you.  See you then!

This year seems to have flown by so fast.  It seemed just a fews weeks ago we held our spiritual retreat and so many good vibes transpired between those who attended.  Allah (SWT) always manifests good for those who do good.  Without the love and support of my beautiful Muslim sisters, our effort would be a mere idea.  Because so many of them find beneficial results from attending the retreat, we are inspired to continue providing the time and space for reflection and growth. 

We must continue to project the most positive ideas and thoughts for one another in order to see the Meecy of Allah in action.
